About Lille
Lille is the capital of the Hauts-de-France region. Close to the Belgian border and at the heart of an international hub including Brussels, London and Paris, these three cities are less than an hour by train from Lille. Thus, its geographical location is beneficial to international exchanges.
Lille is a city full of history. At the beginning, “L’Isle” was an Lille is a city full of history. The city is distinguished by different cultures, as the Spanish and the Flemish, hence its diverse architecture. The city has several art museums such as the Palais des Beaux-Arts, the Piscine, Le LaM, as well as travelling exhibitions and concerts locations such as the Tri Postal, the Gare Saint-Sauveur, the Fresnoy or the Villa Cavrois. All kinds of art can be found there.
Lille Grand Palais
Lille Grand Palais is a place dedicated to events organization such as conferences, concerts and exhibitions. It is located close to the train stations of Lille, precisely 10 minutes on foot. The total capacity of Lille Grand Palais is 20.000 people. It also has more than 45.000 m² with many modular spaces.
Three auditoriums accommodate between 400 and 1500 people each, four modular halls with 22,000m² and more than 28 committee rooms can welcome between 20 and 300 people.
LCM 2023 plenary and parallel sessions will be held in three auditoriums and two conference rooms; some optional rooms will be available to organize meetings in a small committee. The best conference rooms and auditoriums were chosen to very welcome the LCM 2023 participants and organizers.

Dr. Naeem Adibi
CHAIR – WELOOP (FR)
He is the CEO and founder of WeLOOP in northern France. He has a multidisciplinary background in engineering, environmental sciences, and management. He holds a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from French Ecole Centrale de Lille. He contributed actively to the organization of LCM 2015 in Bordeaux.
Steven Van Hemelryck
CO-CHAIR – COLRUYT GROUP (BE)
Steven graduated as a bio-engineer specialized in chemistry at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. In 2008, he started working as an R&D engineer at Colruyt Group, a Belgian retailer. The main focus of his activities concerns environmental footprinting and life cycle analysis, both on the organizational and on the product level.
Pr. Jo Dewulf
CO-CHAIR – GHENT UNIVERSITY (BE)
He is a full professor at Ghent University, Department of Sustainable Organic Chemistry and Technology. Jo Dewulf works with the Department of Green Chemistry and Technology, Ghent University, Belgium. He leads the Sustainable Systems Engineering group and focuses on clean production.
